Oil and Gas

Apollo Enterprises has been conducting business with the oil and gas industry for over 20 years.  Our Belzona range of repair and protection systems are typically used in situations where process equipment and infrastructure is suffering the effects of erosion, corrosion and chemical attack. This degradation of critical assets may be due to the inherent nature of the process, environmental factors or a combination of both. 

Aggressive chemicals and erosion-corrosion also take their toll on equipment, resulting in increased operating costs.

We are able to assist with cost effective repair and relining of process vessels operating in aggressive chemical environments, in temperatures between minus 40degC and up to 200degC. Pumps, tanks, valves, pipes, jetties, separators, skimmers, offshore platform decks and legs have a great variety of issues that can be either temporarily or permanently resolved using our specialised Belzona products.

Handrails, brackets, wear plates can be “cold welded” into position avoiding the need for “hot work” and resulting in a reduction of down time and disruption to your operations. Our Belzona Superwraps pipe repair system is compliant to ASME PCC2 and ISO 24817 international standards. Our pipe repair and wrapping solutions have a service life of up to 20 years. The new Belzona “Superpad” is made from a carbon fibre composite material which is light weight yet possesses excellent mechanical properties. Superpad is ideal for use a “doubler plate” on holed or thin walled pipes or as a pipe wear pad.  

Large storage tanks often suffer corrosion through moisture ingress at the base. Our “Sealatank” system eliminates this common tank corrosion problem.

Where existing coatings or metallic substrates require preparation by abrasive blasting, the nature of conventional blasting can pose risks to adjacent equipment, personnel and the environment due to high levels of airborne particles. In addition, high dust levels can significantly impair visibility making the works difficult to perform and potentially dangerous. Where it is impossible to perform high quality surface preparation, we have a range of  Belzona surface tolerant repair and protection materials that will bond to wet, oil contaminated or immersed substrates.
